Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is dedicated to helping businesses discover the value of Chamber membership while ensuring current members remain informed, engaged, and connected.

This committee focuses on:

  • Recruiting new Chamber members.
  • Retaining and engaging existing members.
  • Educating members on Chamber benefits and programs.
  • Serving as a liaison between members and the Board of Directors.
  • Communicating member needs and feedback.
  • Welcoming new members and serving as Chamber Ambassadors.

Membership Committee volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience and ensuring every member feels connected to the Chamber community.

Event Committees

In addition to the Membership Committee, Chamber members are invited to serve on committees that help organize many of our signature annual events. These committees typically meet during the months leading up to each event.

Taste of Vermilion (Spring)

The Taste of Vermilion Committee helps coordinate one of the Chamber’s most popular community events. This expo-style fundraiser brings together local restaurants, caterers, and community members to celebrate the incredible food and culture of Vermilion Parish.

Committee members assist Chamber staff with planning, coordination, sponsorships, and event logistics.

Golf Tournament (Spring)

The Golf Tournament Committee helps organize the Chamber’s annual golf tournament, combining networking, friendly competition, and community support into one outstanding event.

Volunteers assist with recruiting sponsors, securing teams, coordinating volunteers, and helping ensure a successful tournament.

Women’s Leadership Committee (Fall)

The Women’s Leadership Committee plans the annual Women’s Leadership Luncheon, an event designed to Excite, Inspire, and Celebrate women throughout Vermilion Parish.

The luncheon provides opportunities to share ideas, resources, experiences, and encouragement while recognizing the achievements of women in business and the community.

Membership Awards Banquet (Winter)

The Membership Awards Banquet Committee plans the Chamber’s annual celebration of its members and their accomplishments.

This event recognizes outstanding businesses and community leaders, celebrates the Chamber’s achievements throughout the year, and honors recipients of the Chamber Business Awards and Chamber Scholarship.
